When Brandon, a US Army Captain, accepted a spot on a Mission Outdoors boat at the 2017 Washington Tuna Classic, he didn’t think he was in for anything more than a fun time and a fishing tournament.

But he got so much more. Here’s the note he wrote to the Mission Outdoors team after the

event:

More Than A Fishing Tournament

When Brandon, a US Army veteran, accepted a spot on a Mission Outdoors boat at the 2017 Washington Tuna Classic, he didn’t think he was in for anything more than a fun time and a fishing tournament.

“You pulled me out of darkness.”

But he got so much more. Here’s the note he wrote to the Mission Outdoors team after the event:

“I hit a low spot in May…I happened to be talking to another Vet and he said I should come out to the WTC. I agreed and this week has given me hope to keep hunting the good stuff in life…Often unappreciated and looked down upon, this week showed that there are people that care. You pulled me out of darkness. Thank you all far more than you know. You all saved me. Thank you.”
